Bobby’s Restaurant and Lounge is a casual dining spot located on Ocean Drive in the heart of downtown Vero Beach, Florida. It is one of the places for locals and has been in the community for over 30 years. Not only a thriving sports bar, this cozy jewel serves top quality food and provides service to exceed customer expectations. The decor takes you back to the days when the Dodgers, who practice spring training baseball in Vero Beach, used to spend much time there. Parking is free, the location is primo, and their doors are open to serve you both lunch and dinner.
Bobby’s Restaurant Review
Why We Went: My Vero Beach book club recently chose Bobby’s to hold our monthly discussion group (a fancier explanation than just eating lunch together group) and I was shocked to see what a booming lunch business they had. I have honestly never seen anywhere in Vero Beach this crowded off season.
What We Had: One of our gals is a regular at Bobby’s Restaurant and Lounge so she ordered something that was not on the menu and they were glad to prepare it for her. I had the Turkey Reuben sandwich and the others had soup, Caesar Salads (add fresh blackened grilled fish of the day), Wedge Salad, Lobster Roll, and Hotdog.
Something Special: Customers rave about Bobby’s juicy and tasty burgers.
Noteworthy: Bobby’s has the cup of soup/half sandwich combo lunch feature that also includes a side item.
Best Part of the Meal: For me, the attentive customer service was the best part of the meal. The waitress topped off our drinks (without asking), provided everything we needed or requested the first time, and checked back often. I typically find the service to be lacking at most establishments and this one was exemplary.
Bonus: Bobby’s offers Sunday brunch with Mimosas and Eggs Benedict. Sign me up!
What Needs Improvement: The Crab Bisque was creamy, but very salty.
Total Check Before Tip: $10.83 (my bill)
My Rating Scale 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest)= 8 1/2
