Millers Grill and Pizzeria
Brandon, MS 39047
Why We Went: I have heard Brandon, Mississippi residents raving about Millers Grill and Pizzeria since moving to the area. It was Saturday night and my fiancé, Blake, and I wanted to go to a new restaurant. After looking at their website, we decided to give this place a try.
What We Had: Millers had so many things that sounded good! I ended up picking “Nick’s Fried Chicken Sandwich” and added swiss cheese and bacon. My sandwich was awesome! The batter on the chicken was the best that I have ever had and the cheese was melted perfectly on top. I also got the “Loaded Bacon Ranch Fries” as my side so that we could try them. They were good, but not the best. Blake ordered the “Judge B Hamburger Steak” served with green beans, fried okra, and mashed potatoes with gravy. He liked it, but did not love it.
Something Special: Millers has a really nice patio out back complete with a bar and outdoor heaters.
Noteworthy: Patrons sitting inside can watch pizzas being made.
Best Part of the Meal: Since I was going to write about our meal, we opted for an appetizer. Blake and I chose Millers “Fresh Baked Bread Sticks”. They were really good!
Bonus: Millers Grill and Pizzeria is locally owned and operated, since 1998! Their menu items are named after local people and places.
What Needs Improvement: It looked like Millers Grill and Pizzeria was a bit understaffed in the kitchen. A man, whom I am assuming was the manager, was calling out orders making sure that everyone was staying on track. He called every employee by name when addressing them. Although he was under pressure, he never got hateful.
Total Check Before Tip: $32
