Disney Spring’s Portobello Country Italian Trattoria
Why We Went: My family took a quick trip to Orlando, Florida before the holidays. We wanted to eat dinner at the revamped Downtown Disney, now known as Disney Springs. After looking at all of our options online, we chose to dine at Disney Spring’s Portobello Country Italian Trattoria.
What We Had: Since there were five of us, we had quite a spread. Among our dishes were a Caesar Salad, mouth-watering Flat Iron Steak, delicious Grilled Fresh Pompano, Creamy Chicken Farfalle (bow-tie pasta, asparagus, and snow peas), Succulent Salmon served with roasted potatoes, and a not so good Margherita Pizza.
Something Special: Disney Spring’s Portobello Country Italian Trattoria offers guests focaccia bread with roasted whole clove garlic to eat while waiting on their entrees. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect touch to our Italian dinner!
Noteworthy: The fresh fish was topped with pickled onion strips. Although unexpected, it added a delicious flavor and was ever so unique.
Best Part of the Meal: People watching all of the Disney Springs visitors enjoying their evening. We had a perfect window view to do so. It is amazing to see how large Disney Springs has become in such a short time.
Bonus: Disney Spring’s Portobello Country Italian Trattoria has a huge wine selection to enhance your dining experience.
What Needs Improvement: Dinner was a little slow. Even though it was a traditional Italian meal, the restaurant was full of families that wanted to get out and explore Disney Springs, not spend two hours at the dinner table.
