Admit it, we are all obsessed about where we will have our next meal, what restaurants we will visit on vacation, have a list of new trendy foods that we are going to try, and cannot wait to tell our friends about our experiences, by both word of mouth and social media posts. Our society has become so fixated on dining and food and regardless of the country’s economic state or our own personal budgets, we seem to always find money for dining out. Whereverimayroam loves going to restaurants and writing about as many of them as we can, to share our experiences with our readers. It is nice to be waited on and have a wide variety of foods to choose from. We practice simple strategies when eating out, such as not wasting $2-$3 on a soda, not ordering something we may be disappointed in because we can cook it really well, and by bringing home leftovers.
Wherever I May Roam offers restaurant reviews of places that we visit and we hope that you will check them out and share your thoughts. Whether you have dined there or our article made you want to dine there, we would love to hear from you. Do you want to share your experience with our readers? We would love to hear from you. Melody’s love of cooking was found later in life, at the age of 30, when she took cooking classes in her hometown offered by a local chef. She was pretty clueless in her kitchen skills, but after small group instruction and familiarizing herself with knife skills and cooking terms, she found her groove. Learning to read a recipe is half of the battle and once that has been mastered, it is full speed ahead.
Before becoming a travel blogger, Melody managed and owned cafeterias and a catering business in Charleston, West Virginia. She watched hours of Food Network, read magazines on catering and food, studied websites, you name it, and it did not take long until she was catering for 350 people a day, even WV legislators and bank presidents.
If you have not been bitten by the cooking bug, we urge you to start simple and try new things; you may surprise yourself! We also encourage you to try the recipes we post as well. We will be glad to field any questions you may have along the way. Now, where is that apron?
