My husband, Eddie, and I set off to Hollywood, Florida to visit their epic Margaritaville Beach Resort. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Beach Resorts are springing up all over the country and throughout the Caribbean. Their fun vibe, attractive decor, moderate pricing, and plethora of activities are attracting couples, families, and solo travelers. Here is what I thought about the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

Check-in at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort
A friendly staff, waft of perfumed air, and beautifully decorated lobby greeted Eddie and I. We could see that other guests were taking advantage of the inviting array of seating arrangements throughout the lobby. The check-in process only took a few minutes. With the help of a map, we were turned loose onto the resort’s mammoth grounds. I enjoyed looking at the beach themed pictures hanging on the walls as we headed to our room; they helped put me in a Caribbean state of mind!
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Guest Rooms
The resort offers five types of rooms: queen and king sunset Intracoastal, deluxe ocean, ocean view, paradise ocean, and suites. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view and it was gorgeous! Most of the room’s decor was stark white; perfect for the beach. The accents were painted in hues of blues and greens, both of which looked fantastic. The lovely white bed linens had parrots on them, since Jimmy Buffet fans are known as “parrot heads”
Our room included a luxurious king size bed, rain shower, minibar, work desk, and flat-screen TV. The view of the Hollywood Broadwalk below us and Atlantic Ocean were stellar. I very much appreciated the playful toiletry collection, fin-shaped water dials, and attractive desk set.
Pool Time at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort
Almost immediately, Eddie and I headed to the pool to soak up some rays and enjoy a drink. Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has two main-level pools surrounded by plush chaise lounges, cabanas, and a hot tub. Hollywood locals and cruise ship passengers can obtain pool passes for a nominal fee. The 11th floor rooftop pool and License to Chill Bar are reserved for hotel guests. This rooftop area is a popular spot for guests to escape the crowds. While visiting the main pool area, the “flip-flop friendly” Lone Palm Beach Bar will take care of your hunger and thirst needs.
One of the most sought after offerings at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is the FlowRider®. This simulator incorporates elements of surfing and paddle-boarding. Come give it a try or watch the pros put on a dynamic show. The FlowRider® is easy to spot; a crowd is usually gathered around it.
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Eats
This Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort offers eight restaurants, each with a different flair or speciality. The LandShark Bar & Grill has incredible views of the Broadwalk’s Hollywood Bandshell live music series (click here for schedule) and Atlantic Ocean. Margaritaville, the most recognized Jimmy Buffett brand, boasts traditional seafood dishes such as crab dip and fish & chips. This is where Eddie and I chose to dine. My Shrimp Trio (blackened, coconut, and sautéed lime) was wonderful!
The Floridays Airsteam Cafe, found on the Broadwalk, is a fun food truck that serves gourmet hotdogs. Inside of the hotel is the Margaritaville Coffee Shop, selling coffee, grab & go items, and snacks.
JWP Prime Steak and Seafood is the resort’s upscale restaurant. It sits off of the lobby and will certainly impress those wanting a fine dining experience. The iced raw bar was enough reason for me to start planning another visit to Florida’s Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.
Special Offerings at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort
Besides ocean views, several pools, and eight restaurants, the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has even more to offer guests. A huge perk of this resort is its convenience to the iconic Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, an enormous walking and cycling area that runs along the beach. The Broadwalk is lined with shops, restaurants, and bicycle rentals.
Other amenities include a gym, meeting/convention rooms, and Parakeet’s Kids Club. Pamper yourself with a massage or facial at the spa. Shop for souvenirs and boutique clothing off of the lobby.
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has Left Its Mark on Hollywood, Florida
Eddie and I enjoyed our stay at Hollywood, Florida’s Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. It was our first encounter with a Margaritaville Resort and we appreciated the number of amenities available as well as how service contentious the resort is. Color us impressed!
