While traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina with my daughter, Peyton, a few weeks ago, The Le Méridien was our home away from home. I have always been a big fan of this hotel chain because of their noteworthy customer service and impressive atmosphere and furnishings. The Charlotte location Le Méridien is located in a great part of town, easy for walking to explore much of the Uptown area. It is also a luxury hotel so we are always up for that option.
The bathroom had an enormous tiled shower with the best shower head that I have ever used; you immediately feel invigorated from the pressure. This was one incredible shower! The bathroom’s marble features were gorgeous. Malin + Goetz toiletries were provided by the hotel and they smelled fabulous. I am a big fan of luxury product lines, so thanks for not skimping in this freebie department.
One morning, Peyton and I dined at Evoke, Le Méridien’s onsite restaurant, for breakfast Evoke, a new age steakhouse, offered a beautiful setting, high quality ingredients, and made use of many local products. She and I both were incredibly satisfied with our Eggs Benedict and Berry Granola Fruit Parfait. The restaurant also served something I had never had before, what they referred to as an eye opener; a fresh fruit juice and herb concoction. It was extremely tasty and a nice bonus.
Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit City Lights. This is Le Méridien’s swanky and vibrant rooftop bar. It has become very popular, offering artisanal cocktails and 360° views of the Charlotte skyline.
The Le Méridien provided a fantastic choice for our stay in Charlotte, North Carolina. I hope to return to this property in the future. I cannot think of one single thing that I would change to make it any more enjoyable.
