Summer is upon us and so starts the season of cookouts, parties, and get togethers. My husband (Blake) and I set up a Summer Sundae Bar for a get together we were having. We had so much fun making Ice Cream Sundaes with our friends, plus they were delicious.
This Perfect Summer Sundae Bar Setup will help you serve a great dessert at your get together with minimal cleanup. Your guests are sure to love making Ice Cream Sundaes and will be impressed with how pretty it looks.
Let’s make some Summer Sundaes!
Shopping At Walmart
There were three ingredients that I knew I wanted to have on my Summer Sundae Bar. The first was Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cones™ Ice Cream. Blue Bunny® has been around for 80 years putting twists on classic flavors. I wanted to try their PB ‘N Cones flavor, available at Walmart stores nationwide. I love ice cream, peanut butter, and cones; what a great combination! The last two ingredients were Smucker’s Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping and Reddi-Wip® original whipped topping, because what is a Sundae without them?
I bought my Summer Sundae ingredients at Walmart. The Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cones Ice Cream was really easy to find: down the ice cream aisle. I did not have to travel far to find the Smucker’s Hot Fudge Topping, as it was sitting on a shelf at the end of the ice cream aisle. The Reddi-Wip was in the dairy section by the milk. I gathered up my remaining ingredients (chocolate chips, caramel sauce, colored sprinkles, and freshstrawberries), checked out, and headed home to make Summer Sundaes!
Setting Up My Sundae Bar
The first step in creating my Sundae Bar was laying out a piece of parchment paper. Then, I sat out the ingredients in the order they would be used and wrote the names of each underneath. Afterwards, I put my smaller ingredients in glass bowls so that they were easy to handle. My Sundae Bar was ready and best of all, it only took a few minutes.
For photography purposes, Blake and I put our Sundaes in clear, plastic cups so that you could see what each Sundae looked like. We started each Sundae with a scoop (or two, but who’s counting?) of Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cones Ice Cream followed by some Smucker’s Hot Fudge Ice Cream Topping, and finished them with Reddi-Wip. Our Sundaes were delicious! We had a lot of fun combining different ingredients.
Clean up was a breeze! We put the parchment paper in the trash (covered with ice cream, topping, and sprinkles) and the plastic cups in the recycling bin. We had the kitchen cleaned up in less than five minutes.
Make Your Own Sundae Bar
This Sundae Bar is perfect for any occasion! If you are hosting an event at your house this Summer, consider putting together a Summer Sundae bar for your guests. Everyone can make their own Sundaes and you will not spend all evening cleaning up. Plus, we all know you scream, I scream, we all scream for Ice Cream Sundaes!
