If you are like me, I love a good Irish pub. They are typically a haven for delicious food, good, cold beer, and fun. Not always.
Why We Went: My daughters and I visited Downtown Disney recently and planned to have dinner there though we did not have a dinner reservation. We noticed the Raglan Road Irish Pub was not on a wait (a rarity at DD), so we snagged a patio table.
What We Had: I ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer and Caesar salad for dinner. My daughters shared the fish & chips. The carpaccio was bland and boring as well as the Caesar salad. I did not think it was possible to really mess up a Caesar salad, one of my favorite things, but this was not a good recipe at all.
Something Special: The patio has very nice ambiance and we enjoyed dining outside.
Noteworthy: I will not be back.
Best Part of the Meal: The girls did enjoy their fish & chips although there was one single piece of fish and a handful of fries for $20.
Bonus: Raglan Road advertises live entertainment and traditional Irish dancing 7 nights a week from 4pm. We were there 5:30 and a small stage was set up outside. Musicians came out and played 2 songs while 3 dancers took turns dancing on the stage. This entire production lasted maybe five minutes and that was it. Seriously?
What Needs Improvement: The food needs some flavor; I found it all to be very uneventful and lacking in taste and originality.
Total Check Before Tip: $51.66 before tip
