River City Cafe
My fiancé, Blake, and I had lunch at River City Cafe’s Barefoot Landing location while in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a press trip. We loved our meal and had a great time dining on their patio. River City Cafe provides a great meal at a great price.
River City Cafe’s decor is very rustic with license plates hanging on the walls. Guests can throw peanut shells on the floor and color on the tablecloths. They have a patio along the water full of colored picnic tables and a bar that serves cocktails, wine, beer, and frozen daiquiris. The atmosphere is very laid back and fun. River City is a perfect spot for the whole family.
I chose the Bacon Cheeseburger, with grilled chicken instead of hamburger, Swiss cheese, and bacon. Blake ordered the Turkey Burger with Swiss cheese, lettuce, mustard, and chili. Our burgers came on a wheat bun and were served with homemade french fries and coleslaw. Oh my goodness! Our lunch was awesome. I was really happy with my meal. When I asked Blake how his burger was, he said “phenomenal.” Those were some of the best french fries that I have ever had.
You can purchase t-shirts from River City Cafe. They have quite a few to choose from, which is nice. I love that River City serves drinks in plastic cups that you can take with you when you leave. Our server was nice enough to bring us lids so that we could walk around Barefoot Landing with our drinks.
Not in North Myrtle Beach? No problem! River City also has locations in Myrtle Beach, Socastee, Surfside, and Murrells Inlet.
