The Wharf At Orange Beach
The Wharf at Orange Beach, Alabama is the area’s premier shopping and dining destination. During my most recent visit, my friends and I attended a concert at the Amphitheater and spent one evening walking around the property. We throughly enjoyed checking out the boutiques and stopping at the Daiquiri bar. If you are on vacation in the Orange Beach Area, definitely make a trip to The Wharf for dinner or to go shopping.
Entertainment and Shopping
The Wharf has lots of entertainment options. Moviegoers will love the huge Carmike Cinemas, while sports enthusiasts will enjoy the new Putt-Putt golf course. They also have a huge Ferris Wheel, which was closed for refurbishment during my visit. This summer, The Wharf has a nightly show, SPECTRA, featuring lights and music. I heard that it is awesome!
The shopping is plentiful here. Whether you are looking for clothes, beach souvenirs, children’s toys, shoes, or a hair salon, The Wharf at Orange Beach has it all. Most of the shops are locally owned. Some of my favorite stores include The Orange Grove, Ohh La La, Shades Sunglasses, and Fric-N-Frac.
Dining and Nightlife
The Wharf is home to a plethora of restaurants. No matter what you are in the mood for, there is sure to be a restaurant to satisfy your cravings. Ronin Sushi Bar, Southern Grind Coffee House, Sol y Mar Mexican Grill and Cantina, Driftood Bar and Grill, and Greek 2 U are just some of the restaurants here.
There is definitely nightlife at The Wharf. My favorite is the Daiquiri Bar, Island Time Daiquiris. Their drinks are delicious and there is even a dance floor. Other noteworthy bars include Cowgirls, Blue Chair Bar, and Cigar Bar.
The Wharf has condos available for rent during your beach stay. The rental companies they use are Young’s Suncoast Vacation Rental and Wharf Rental Management LLC. A Springhill Suites is also on property if you would rather stay in a hotel setting.
I have attended two concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater. I love it! Tickets can be purchased online or at the Amphitheater’s box office. All seats have a great view, which is awesome, but it is bleacher seating. I really like that it is a smaller venue, giving you a more intimate performance. The Amphitheater’s upcoming shows include Shinedown, Twenty One Pilots, Train, and Miranda Lambert.
Pro Tip: Both artists that I have seen here came out into the audience to sing a few songs.
In addition to everything listed above, The Wharf has more to offer guests. Boaters can enjoy it, too, since they have a Marina located on the Northern Gulf Coast. Convention centers and numerous event spaces are also available for rent.
Be sure to check out The Wharf if you are looking for a place to host a wedding or meeting in the Orange Beach Area.
