Travel Products I Can’t Live Without
I am a creature of habit and when I find something that I like, I stick with it. These five travel products have been a tremendous help to me: Speck CandyShell Phone Case, MyCharge Portable Charger, Yeti Rambler, Emily Ley Planner, and Delsey Tote Bag. I do not go on vacation without these five travel products!
1. Speck CandyShell Phone Case
After two broken iPhones, I decided to try a Speck phone case; that was three years ago. My iPhone has been rocking a CandyShell case since and I will be a lifelong Speck customer. I am really impressed with how well this case has stood up as many times as I have dropped my phone. It is incredibly durable yet slim and not bulky. A rubber bumper protects my phone’s exposed screen. The buttons on the side of my phone are easy to use although the case covers them.
Speck phone cases are available in a variety of styles and colors. I chose the CandyShell case because it is “designed for impact” with military grade drop protection and it covers the entire phone. This case is definitely built to last.
Retail: $34.95 (and worth every penny!)
2. MyCharge Portable Charger
Imagine waiting in line at Disney World for two hours to get your picture made with Frozen‘s Ana and Elsa and having your phone die as you reach the front of the line. Pretty tragic, right? I speak from experience, it is a bummer. After our Disney debacle, my husband and I decided that we needed a mobile charger. We looked online and in store, and we decided on a MyCharge RazorMax. We could not be happier with it!
The RazorMax holds four times battery and we generally get two to three full phone charges from it. We recently got a RazorUltra that holds seven times battery. The RazorUltra comes with a charger and charging cable. Two devices (anything with a USB: iPad, FitBit, headphones) can be charged simultaneously. The RazorMax and RazorUltra take a while to charge; we plug it up at night and allow it to do so while we sleep. Lights on the top let you know how much battery is left. They fit perfectly in my purse and we bought a USB just to keep with it. If you travel a lot, invest in a mobile charger; you will not regret it!
Retail: RazorMax $39.99 RazorUltra $59.99
3. Yeti Rambler
I use my Yeti Rambler daily, whether I am at home or traveling. It fits perfectly in my car and in my hand, plus I drink a lot more water now that I have it. When my husband and I go to Ole Miss football games and tailgate, our Yeti cups go, too.
Designed to keep beverages hot or cold, Yeti Ramblers come in multiple colors: Stainless Steel, Tahoe Blue, Seafoam, Olive Green, and Black. They are pretty much indestructible and do not sweat. I fill my cup with ice and water in the morning and if I continue to add cold water, the ice generally lasts until I go to bed. Although I have a 20 and 30 oz Tumbler, I prefer the 30 oz because I can get more water in it.
Retail: 20 oz Tumbler $29.99 30 oz Tumbler $39.99
4. Emily Ley Planner
After graduating from college, I had a hard time finding a planner that fit my needs. I found Emily Ley’s Simplified Planner online and it has been wonderful. The Simplified Planner breaks down your day by hours, notes, and to do lists. It even has a space for you to plan dinners, which has made grocery shopping easier. This Joyful Agenda has inspirational quotes at the top of each page so that you can start your day off positively. The planner itself is fun and cute, but looks like something an adult would have. Monthly pages allow you to see your entire month at a glance.
Bonus: Emily Ley’s book Grace Not Perfection is great for those struggling with living a Pinterest perfect life. This book helped me put things into perspective and realize that Pinterest perfection does not exist.
5. Delsey Montmartre Personal Tote Bag
I received my Delsey laptop bag after attending the WITS travel conference in 2016. It is perfect! There is a padded area for my laptop (up to 15.6″), plenty of pockets, and room for me to put my two inch blog binder in it. A smart band (pocket on the outside) unzips, allowing you to set the bag on top of a suitcase when traveling. The bag is made of nylon and faux leather which makes it look sleek.
The Delsey Montmartre Personal Tote Bag comes in three colors: black, red, and blue.
