To quote this line from the book itself, “With the current Appalachia movement, where things we West Virginians have known and loved for years are gaining popularity (ATV trails, whitewater rafting, Mothman, stargazing, farm-to-table dining, and bluegrass music), it makes me so happy for West Virginia’s perfect position in tourism,” fills me with pride and excitement for what lies ahead with this book release.

What Topics Are Included?

As mentioned above, the “100 Things” series is a national book series, so the categories and topics pretty much stay the same in each book. They include:

  • Food and Drink
  • Music and Entertainment
  • Sports and Recreation
  • Culture and History
  • Shopping

Because West Virginia is one-of-a-kind, and has many great offering that don’t fit into those fields, we came up with a Uniquely West Virginia part of the book that fits like a glove!

There is even a section of 100 Things WV with suggested itineraries, such as for foodies, history buffs, and thrill seekers coming to West Virginia.

One of my favorite parts of the book is when we offer personal tips or “did you know?” details.
