If you’re seeking a luxurious getaway with top-notch entertainment, look no further than the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. This majestic establishment has been a standout in the state since its opening in 1999 and has recently completed a stunning $55 million room remodel.
Nestled in the heart of Biloxi, Mississippi, “The Beau” is not just a place—it’s an experience. This luxurious haven, proudly part of the MGM Resorts family, has been a beacon of opulence and entertainment for 25 years.
After weathering the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Beau Rivage was rebuilt to be better than ever, symbolizing strength and resilience. Today, it stands as an epitome of grandeur, welcoming guests from around the globe.
The VIP Treatment Begins at Check-In
One of the Beau Rivage’s standout features is its VIP check-in desk, which offers a seamless arrival experience and ensures your stay begins on a high note. My check-in was incredibly swift, taking no more than two minutes.
The hospitality extended from the start, with the staff offering snacks and drinks to bring to my room.
A Room with a View
Entering my beautifully decorated room felt like stepping into a sanctuary of luxury. The remodel showcases coastal earth tones, such as Robin’s egg blue and a dark peach color I loved. It was also spacious and elegantly appointed.
The floor-to-ceiling picture window offered a breathtaking view of the resort’s swimming pool and hot tub. The deluxe ocean-view room featured two queen beds with plush mattresses, a selection of pillows, and a cozy sitting area with two chairs.
A desk, refrigerator, flatscreen TV, and numerous plug-ins for tech gear ensured that all my needs were met.
The marble bathroom was a highlight. It boasted a massive soaking tub, a separate glass shower, and a vanity with ample space for all my toiletries. It was clear that comfort and convenience were top priorities at the Beau Rivage and that every detail was designed for relaxation and luxury.
I traveled with my 29-year-old daughter and 5-year-old granddaughter on a multi-generational getaway. Both were pleased as punch with everything about The Beau.
Exploring the Casino Floor
Stepping into the redesigned 85,000-square-foot Beau Rivage Casino, I was immediately struck by its classic elegance. The décor, featuring florals, checks, stripes, and rich fabrics with wrought iron accents, exuded a warm Southern charm—the sound of winning bells and chandelier-lined walkways added to the vibrant atmosphere.
Fun Fact: The Beau’s won #3 Best Casino Resort in the 2023 USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice Award.
The gaming selection was impressive, with a variety of exciting table games (93 to be exact), such as Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette, alongside 2,100 slot machines. High-dollar slots, in particular, were more abundant here than in any other casino I’d visited.
There is also a 16-table, two-tiered poker room for those who love the game.
A note: I live near Las Vegas, so I’m constantly comparing the casinos I visited outside of Nevada to my home turf. I saw most of my favorite progressive slots on the floor at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, so note that the games are current and trendy, while they also have classic favorites.
Culinary Delights at Every Turn
Foodies will find their paradise at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, with dining options for every palate. The resort boasts some of Mississippi’s top restaurants, including:

- The Daiquiri Shop: Frozen drink, both alcoholic and zero-proof, hotspot with Mexican shareable like chips with guac and salsa.
My BR Prime Dining Experience
BR Prime Steakhouse is perfect for fine dining in a quintessential American steakhouse that combines Hollywood glamour with casual elegance. The menu features mouthwatering options like BR Prime steaks, pork chops, Faroe Islands salmon, and lamb.
My Mouthwatering Meal
I savored an 8-ounce filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, duck fat fries (primarily for my granddaughter), chipotle creamed corn, and asparagus. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in ages.
If you are hungry enough for a starter, the escargot in puff pastry with a sherry shiitake velouté is a game changer, but do save room for one of the upscale dessert options.
Coraline’s – A Seafood Lover’s Paradise
One of Beau Rivage’s newest gems is Coraline’s, an exquisite seafood restaurant with a Cajun twist. Inspired by the New Orleans French Quarter, this venue is as visually stunning as delectable.
Coraline’s is famed for its award-winning seafood gumbo and house signature items like Snapper Coraline. The gumbo is a rich, flavorful broth brimming with fresh seafood, while the Snapper Coraline features perfectly cooked fish with a compelling blend of spices.
Must-Try Appetizers
A must-try appetizer is the delicate deviled crab dip, a delightful combination of Swiss cheese fondue, blue crab, melted leeks, and sherry served with crispy flatbread. Chargrilled oysters, also available in fried and on-the-half-shell varieties, are another irresistible option.
Diverse Menu
Coraline’s menu offers a wide array of seafood options, including Alaskan king and snow crab legs, Maine lobster, royal reds, redfish, and yellowfin tuna. For a pleasing meal, try the Gulf Shrimp sautéed with mushrooms, scallions, cheese grits, and New Orleans BBQ butter.
Reservations are recommended to ensure you secure a spot at this popular eatery.
The Buffet at Beau Rivage – A Feast for All
No visit to the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino is complete without trying the famous Buffet. This dining option offers a wealth of food stations and hundreds of items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Diverse Food Stations
Explore hand-carved meats, a healthy salad bar, hand-carved meats, southern comfort foods, and a seafood station, amongst others. The dessert bar is a treat in itself, and you’ll also find international eats to satisfy any craving.
Dedicated Service
A dedicated server will bring your drinks, refill your glasses, and clear your dishes, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The Buffet at Beau Rivage is perfect for those who love variety and abundant choices.

Whether riding, driving, shooting, or spinning, the arcade’s games will keep you laughing and having fun.
The prize selection is one of the best we’ve ever seen, including a vast toy selection, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and even electric guitars. Games are half-priced every Wednesday.
A Golfer’s Paradise
Golf enthusiasts will be excited for Fallen Oak, an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout that offers a majestic and cinematic invitation to all who love the game. The course, designed to challenge and inspire, perfectly complements the rest of the Beau’s offerings.

I was disappointed with house keeping and room service. The pizza was terrible, tasted like they opened a can of tomato paste slapped it on there and melted cheese. The front desk manager was great.. made sure we weren't charged for it. Housekeeping? There was none, they made the bed.. never licked up any dri is from night before or the room service tray. We stayed 5 days and that should give you an idea of how much stuff piled up

Did you mention this to the hotel before checking out? I would always recommend to let management know when things aren't to your satisfaction. I personally know a few folks at this hotel and customer satisfaction is their #1 goal. Sorry you had a less than perfect experience.
