Best Breakfast Restaurants in St. George
Bear Paw Cafe
A beloved local institution since 1995, Bear Paw Cafe in downtown St. George serves one of the best breakfasts in town. This cozy spot is known for its stuffed French toast (with spiced apples or brûlée cream, featuring chocolate and vanilla!), hearty breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, and an excellent coffee and smoothie menu.

Black Bear Diner
A classic, family-friendly spot for all-day breakfast, burgers, and comfort food. Don’t miss Black Bear Diner’s breakfast sliders, hearty fruit-filled Benedicts, and homemade chili with a cornbread muffin. If you like fruit, make sure to add that as your chosen side; it’s a huge portion and really fresh.
Black Bear Diner is a great option for big portions at a reasonable price.

Cafe Feellove
One of the most stylish cafes in town, Cafe Feellove offers beautifully presented pastries, French scones, quiche in almond flour tortillas, and high-quality coffee drinks. It’s a popular hangout downtown with gluten-free and vegan options. You’ll also find other locations in Utah and Colorado.
If you’re heading to Snow Canyon State Park, stop by Cafe Feellove at the turnoff plaza and entrance for a tasty driving snack or picnic lunch.
Fun Fact: I nominated Cafe Feellove for USA Today’s 10Best Independent Coffee Shops, and they made the top 10 list.

Top Lunch and Dinner Spots
Bonrue Bakery (formerly Farmstead)
Bonrue Bakery delivers a fresh mix of sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and drool-worthy baked goods in a trendy setting, reminiscent of a European-style bakery. Their outdoor seating is ideal, and desserts like the pistachio-layered cake and cinnamon rolls are local favorites.
I can hardly ever come to St. George without taking a box of Farmstead Bakery goodies home, and they make great nibbles for special occasions.

George’s Corner Restaurant
Upscale pub fare is served all day in a relaxed setting, with both indoor and outdoor dining options available. The short rib hash, the indulgent pancake sampler, and short rib ragout pasta at George’s Corner are standouts. Save room for the strawberry rhubarb pie or seasonal bread pudding.

Don Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant
Authentic Mexican flavors shine at Don Pedro’s Mexican, known for signature mole poblano (a sweet and spicy sauce made from a blend of sesame seeds, cinnamon, chocolate, nuts, spices, and Chile pods), house-made horchata, and sizzling tacos. The queso dip is a must.

Irmita’s Casita Mexican Grill
Irmita’s Casita is a charming little eatery with home-cooked Mexican comfort food. The chile relleno burrito and cheese enchiladas hit the spot. Horchatas and aguas frescas (try the tamarind!) round out the experience.

Red Fort Cuisine of India
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! We have the best restaurant in St. George right here. Arguably the best Indian food in Southern Utah, Red Fort Cuisine is a local favorite and offers upscale Indian cuisine in a lovely setting.
The restaurant is vegan-friendly, offering crowd-pleasers such as samosas, chicken tikka masala, and coconut korma. Choose your spice level!

Riggatti’s Wood Fired Pizza
With its cozy setting, handcrafted artisan pizzas, and a well-stocked salad bar, Riggatti’s is an ideal spot for lunch or dinner. The rotating “Pizza of the Month” is always worth trying, but their standard menu options are just as impressive.
Don’t miss the great lunch deal: a personal-sized pizza with a drink for $10.99—add the salad bar for just a dollar more.

Sakura Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi
An entertaining hibachi experience and fresh sushi rolls make this Sakura Japanese Steakhouse a fun dinner stop. The hibachi chef is talented and skillfully prepares your meal right in front of you, while a robot server delivers salads and soup. Order the spicy edamame, filet mignon hibachi, or fried sushi rolls for a satisfying meal.
Go for lunch to save a few bucks on smaller portions. Try a refreshing Japanese marble soda; I recommend lychee or peach.

Painted Pony
Painted Pony, in Ancestor Square, offers high-end dining (contemporary seasonal cuisine) in a relaxed, art-forward space. This downtown gem serves contemporary, seasonal dishes, including tea-infused duck breast, lamb rack, and jalapeño-carrot soup. It’s perfect for a special occasion or date night, with its interesting and unique decor.
Make your reservations via OpenTable to ensure you can get a table.

Casual Dining Gems
Morty’s Cafe
Morty’s Cafe is a modern diner serving breakfast burritos, avocado toast, burgers, and thick hand-spun shakes. It’s cozy, creative, and welcoming, making it a delightful place to take your multigenerational family. You can also purchase the artwork directly from the walls.

Cafe Zupas
Healthy and quick with big portions, Cafe Zupas does not disappoint. Try their incredible soups, like the signature Wisconsin cauliflower (keto and vegetarian friendly) or mushroom bisque, or go completely rogue and have a berry-packed salad (Nuts About Berries).
A Belgian-dipped chocolate-dipped strawberry, served with Try2 combos, is a sweet bonus.

Nick the Greek
Fast-casual Greek fare at its finest. Top sellers at Nick The Greek include gyro bowls (served with chicken or traditional lamb and beef), lamb souvlaki, feta-topped fries (a must-try!), and frozen Greek soft-serve yogurt. Level up with the delicious Loukoumades, Greek beignets with honey and syrup.

Pancho & Lefty’s
Mexican scratch-made eats with personality. Try the stuffed jalapeños (Whammers), combination fajitas (chicken and steak), flautas, or crab enchiladas. You won’t want to miss dessert: fried ice cream or flan at Pancho & Lefty’s is superb!

Super Chix
Super Chix is famous for its fresh, never-frozen chicken tenders and fresh-cut fries (the best in St. George), served at a counter-serve establishment with a bar of customizable seasonings and sauces for dipping your chicken.
Don’t miss the rotating frozen custard flavors. Super Chix also has salads and grilled chicken options.

Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken
Nashville hot chicken at its finest is what you’ll find at Jay Bird’s Chicken, adjacent to Red Cliffs Mall. Go classic with tenders or brioche chicken sandwiches, or elevate with the Mac Daddy—mac & cheese and comeback sauce.

Unique & Upscale Experiences
Wood Ash Rye
Wood Ash Rye, inside The Advenire Hotel, focuses on seasonal, locally sourced dishes. It’s a great place to enjoy a whole meal or sip high-end cocktails and indulge in beautifully plated apps, such as this stunning charcuterie board or buttermilk biscuits with jam and salted butter.
For breakfast, the smothered pork carnitas breakfast burrito will curl your toes, while at dinner, try the duck tacos or Utah trout with a zesty sauce.

Tifiny’s Creperie
Sweet and savory crepes steal the show here at Tifiny’s Creperie. Arrive early to beat the Saturday crowd. Try the Turtle Crepe (Nutella, candied pecans, chocolate chips, and caramel sauce) or the Ham and Cheese with Bechamel. Add a cappuccino or glass of wine to elevate your dining experience.
Take home a slice of layered cake or a cream puff to savor when the craving hits. I drool while writing this section.

The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort
Enjoy elevated comfort food while soaking in views of the Sand Hollow Resort golf club. Wings, deviled eggs, fresh salads, and tasty mains shine. This is a perfect place to grab take-home while RVing at the nearby Jellystone Park Zion.

Xetava Gardens Cafe
Located in Ivins near the Kayenta Art Village and Center, Xetava Cafe (Zay–Tah— Vah) offers a scenic, artsy backdrop and serves upscale brunch, lunch, and cocktails. The mocktails (zero-proof) drinks and beautifully plated meals make this a standout. I highly appreciate the carefully curated space and special touches.
Best dishes? Mahi fish tacos, Robby Cobb salad, Pulled Pork Quesadilla, and the unique and wonderful Xetava Chicken Piccata.

Don’t Forget Dessert!
Pinkbox Doughnuts
Creative and colorful choices like Maple Bacon, Love My PB&J, Blue Face Doughcros, and Mama’s Tres Leches lure in doughnut junkies like myself. Still, the sheer number of doughnut choices and supreme taste surpass that of any other doughnut in the country, keeping loyal fans coming back to Pinkbox.
Vegan options are available—fun names, fun flavors, and serious doughnut cred.

I love that Pinkbox is the official doughnut partner of the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Golden Knights. That means I can get specialty football and hockey doughnuts. They also offer pick-up or delivery services.

Kneaders Bakery
From classic French toast to fresh croissant sandwiches and gift-worthy baked goods, Kneaders Bakery is an awesome place to enjoy breakfast or satisfy sweet tooth cravings. My faves are the eclairs and tarts.
