The Boquete Sandwich Shop is somewhat hidden since it is not viewable from the main street running through Boquete, but I assure you that once you have been there, you will not be a stranger. It offers friendly customer service, affordable meals, a variety of food choices, plus a comfortable environment. Check the Boquete Sandwich Shop Facebook page for daily specials.
The Boquete Sandwich Shop
Why We Went: The Boquete Sandwich Shop is one of our favorite breakfasts in town and they even serve it all day long.
What We Had: I typically order the Breakfast Burrito, filled with scrambled eggs and cheese. You can add a breakfast meat for an additional fee. My husband usually orders the breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, and toast. He often has a side pancake as well since they are light and fluffy.
Something Special: The Sandwich Shop has many fun specials such as Taco Tuesdays ($1.50 per taco) and Ceviche Sunday.
Noteworthy: Free Wi-Fi! Just ask for the password, which changes often.
Best Part of the Meal: It might sound simple but the Egg and Cheese Burrito is incredibly tasty. Sides of zesty salsa and cool sour cream compliment the toasted burrito. It is the perfect size for breakfast and is accompanied by a slice of fresh papaya and pineapple. The Sandwich Shop’s server never minds to bring you more of anything you like and are accommodating in every way. My breakfast runs around $5.
Bonus: Happy hour is daily between 4 and 6 PM. Local beers are get-one-free-one free.
What Needs Improvement: The Food Truck Emma’s sausages would be a nice addition to their menu.
Total Check Before Tip: $12.50
My Rating Scale 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest)= 8 1/2
