What is Magnolia Market?

Created by HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, Magnolia Market is a design and retail haven located in the heart of Waco. The iconic silos—two 120-foot structures originally built in 1950 for the Brazos Valley Cotton Oil Company—serve as a centerpiece for the complex.

Today, the silos are a visual symbol of Magnolia’s success and the Gaines’ enduring partnership.

Magnolia Table: Where to Eat in Waco

Though not located directly at the Silos, Magnolia Table (2132 S. Valley Mills Drive) is a can’t-miss eatery specializing in fresh, homegrown ingredients. Open for breakfast and lunch (closed on Sundays), this restaurant offers delightful starters, including butter flights (mine were lemon, honey, mixed berry, and spring herb) and deviled eggs with jalapeño jam.

I recommend the Farm Breakfast, which comes with two eggs cooked to order, a biscuit, sausage or bacon, and house-made tater tots—huge, creamy, and unforgettable. Reservations are encouraged, but you may get lucky if you arrive at opening.

Pro Tip: Check current wait times and make reservations via the Magnolia Table website.

Unexpected Surprises

Magnolia Market also features a whiffleball field, a nostalgic nod to Waco’s Katy Park, a landmark since 1905, where baseball legends like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig once played. It’s one more touch that ties Magnolia’s rustic charm back to community roots.

Where to Stay: Lake Waco Marina

We stayed at Lake Waco Marina & RV Park, about 20 minutes from Magnolia Market. This RV-friendly campground features pull-through sites, full hookups, and stunning sunset views.

Enjoy biking, walking, and fishing from the banks, or rent a boat or Bote board for an on-the-water adventure.
