How To Get Holiday Ready For Guests
I am from West Virginia but I now live in Mississippi. My parents live in Florida and my husband’s parents live in Texas. We are all over the place! The whole family comes to our house in Mississippi for the holidays. Since it is the only time of the year that our entire family is together, we need to ensure that everyone is healthy and feeling their best.
Preparing my house for holiday guests is a huge task. Although there are many things to get done, cleaning during peak germ season and putting together a guest kit with items that our guests may need during their stay are my top priorities.
Holiday Ready Essentials
When it comes to cleaning my house, I trust Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to get the job done. Clorox kills 99.9% of Viruses* and Bacteria including Staph, E. Coli, Salmonella, Strep. I also keep an extra container on hand to keep germs from wreaking havoc on our family gathering.
I put three items in my guest kit because I know I can count on to keep my family feeling their best during the holidays. First, is Abreva. My mom is prone to cold sores and we definitely do not want one making an appearance in our family pictures. Abreva is proven to heal cold sores and shorten the duration of pain, itching, burning, and tingling. In fact, it is the only FDA approved over the counter medicine to shorten healing time. I buy the Abreva Pump because it is easy to apply. While it appears to be a large price tag for such a small item, it packs a powerful punch.
My second pick is TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Day/Night. TYLENOL® is the #1 doctor recommended pain reliever. The convenient, easy to swallow caplets relieve painful cold and flu symptoms like coughing, congestion, and sore throat both day and night. The final product in my guest kit is Theraflu ExpressMax Severe Cold & Flu Caplets. They provide powerful relief without a prescription, defeating seven cold and flu symptoms fast: sore throat, nasal congestion, chest congestion, fever, cough, headache, and body aches. Theraflu gives you the power to feel better.

Shopping At Kroger
My first task in getting holiday ready is heading to my local Kroger to pick up everything that I need. I do all of my shopping at Kroger which makes picking up these four items incredibly convenient. I am able to get TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Day/Night, Theraflu ExpressMax Severe Cold & Flu Caplets, and an Abreva Pump in the Health/Beauty area. The TYLENOL® and Theraflu are under the cold & flu banner while the Abreva is under the lip care & children’s relief banner. Clorox Disinfecting Wipes (32-35 count) are in the household aisle under the cleaning banner. At my Kroger, it is aisle 13.
Getting Holiday Ready For Guests
I get my house holiday ready by cleaning it top to bottom with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. Although I use them all over, Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are my primary cleaner for the kitchen and bathrooms. Be sure to wipe down these forgotten things that are collect germs: door handles, light switches, refrigerator shelves, and remote controls. I also make sure all sheets and towels are clean and ready for use.
Since I don’t want any family members sick in bed during their visit, I put together a guest kit. I use a holiday themed bin and put the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, Abreva Pump, TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Day/Night, and Theraflu ExpressMax Severe Cold & Flu Caplets inside. I leave this guest kit in the bathroom so that all four items are easily accessible.
And that’s a wrap on getting holiday ready for guests! I can focus on other holiday aspects, such as cooking and wrapping gifts, while Clorox, Abreva, TYLENOL®, and Theraflu help take care of my family when they arrive.
