The Inn at Cocoa Beach, Florida: A Florida Gem
My daughter, Peyton, and I traveled to the space coast of Florida and while researching hotels, I came across the Inn at Cocoa Beach. The website gave a vague description of the Inn, but traveler reviews were highly favorable. I ended up choosing the Inn at Cocoa Beach because of the European flair it advertised.
Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Inn at Cocoa Beach delivered much more than the website had portrayed. I scored a home run because this resort is fabulous! Whether you are craving a relaxing getaway or a romantic vacation, the Inn at Cocoa Beach is sure to satisfy.
Beautifully Appointed Rooms
Our room (33A) was located in a separate wing of the hotel, only steps away from the main building. It had an elevator, so the site was not totally European (a big plus). The hotel room had gorgeous hardwood floors and tasteful beach style furniture, including two queen sized beds with plush linens and attractive duvets.
Beach themed pictures hung on the walls and the lamps were cute palm trees. The bathroom was a bit small, but the custom complimentary toiletries and black make-up washcloth made up for it.
Our oceanfront room had a beautiful wicker rocking chair inside and a small private balcony with two chairs that allowed us to sit and look at the views of the beach, across the parking lot. Bottled water and wine were available to purchase directly from the room, which was a nice offering. Other noteworthy things in my book were the three lamps, which provided plenty of light, and ample electrical outlets. Free WIFI is available throughout the entire property.
A Scrumptious Breakfast
Breakfast was included and it is offered in the first floor great room of the building that Peyton and I were staying in. The breakfast was set up in stations including bread/bagels, coffee/tea, fruit, and and eggs.
In all of my travels, I had never seen an egg station like this. Guests select their eggs (numbered in pencil), drop them into continually boiling water, and time them depending on the doneness. For example, 4 minutes for a soft boiled egg and 8 minutes for hard boiled. It was very well thought out.
Another dining option is the trayed breakfast offered by the breakfast attendant. The menu changes daily. On both days, our breakfast included homemade bread (mango one day, coconut-pineapple the next) and an adorable quiche. They were delicious! All of the guests seemed very pleased with the breakfast concept and the setting was relaxed and welcoming.
Inn at Cocoa Beach Amenities
The Inn at Cocoa Beach has many places to explore on the property. The lobby provides a nice sitting area for reading, playing chess, or watching TV. It also has a computer lab area that is free for guests to use. A kitchen is available for obtaining ice, using a microwave, and purchasing sodas, water, and snacks. The inn uses the honor system for cocktails and has any kind of liquor you could want. Wines are also available.
The 5PM hour starts a wine and cheese reception where guests are free to mingle with others. This is a popular event! Coffee is available all hours of the day in the lobby and iced tea is served during the day. Best offering of all, the owner’s two adorable dogs are onsite for you to play and cuddle with.
The landscaping is pristine and members of the staff were continuously working hard to keep things looking manicured. The swimming pool looked inviting and many guests were enjoying it. There is also direct access to the beach from the pool area and a beach shower is available to spray off sand. A small fitness room sits off to the side, but we did not visit it.
Do not miss the parrots who sit between the buildings on their perch throughout the day. A guest told me that they were thirty-eight years old. The orange and green bird loved getting petted. I had never bonded with a bird before but this little flirt was a highlight of my trip.
Five Star Experience at the Inn at Cocoa Beach
Peyton and I were both happy with our hosted accommodations and would recommend the Inn at Cocoa Beach to anyone who is traveling to Florida’s Space Coast. Do not trust their website to showcase the property, as it is one of the most relaxing and comfortable places I have ever stayed.
Bonus: Peyton and I arrived at the inn late at night to discover that a space shuttle launch was taking place within the hour. We promptly went to the balcony, along with many other guests, to watch the event from a superior location. It was epic! We were not much further from the launch than the people who braved the traffic to be near the actual site. I would definitely recommend booking a stay here if seeing a rocket launch is on your bucket list. No traffic, no crowds, just a front row seat.
