If you are a candy or chocolate lover, then I’m not telling you anything you don’t know — Reese’s Peanut Butter eggs are the best Reese’s product on the market. And what better thing to do with the best tasting candy than to use it in a simple recipe that you and your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers will love! Our Reeses Easter Egg Bark is a unique holiday treat that I feel certain will become a beloved recipe that you’ll use for years to come.
Peanut butter and more peanut butter; what could be better?

Why Is It Called Bark?
You’ll see a lot of holiday recipes referring to “bark”. The beloved sheet candy is typically made by pouring melted chocolate in a pan and then adding ingredients of your choice — peppermint, marshmallows, nuts, dried fruits, and the list goes on and on. The slab of chocolate is then broken up into pieces, that then seem to resemble tree bark, meaning no edges are perfect.

On my travels, I’ve had some amazing chocolate barks, with the best ones found in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Läderach, in Switzerland, wins for the best, plus the shops have over 60 types of chocolates made from locally-sourced beans, and have been producing these delicacies for over 60 years.
Reeses Easter Egg Bark Ingredients
This recipe uses only a few ingredients, but they drive home the deliciousness of Reese’s peanut butter products. You can use full size or mini Reeses Easter Egg, but I prefer the smaller ones to make the bark look a little more realistic.
- Reese’s Pieces
- Reese’s Easter Eggs (snack-size)
- 12 oz. Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips
- Cooking spray
- Wax paper

If you are looking to save a few cents, there could be less expensive peanut butter chips, but I honestly think they are hard to find period. I’ve had luck finding the Reese’s peanut butter chips at Walmart, Smith’s, and Kroger.
You can also now get the Reeses Easter Eggs (snack-size) in white creme, which are my very favorite. They change up the look of the bark, so maybe make some with both milk chocolate and white.

Directions
- Spray a sauce pan with cooking spray. Melt the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips over medium heat.
- Pour the melted Reese’s chips onto the wax paper in circle shapes.
- Quickly cover the melted Reese’s chips with a Reeses Easter Egg and several Reese’s pieces.
- Let the bark harden. To speed this process up, you can refrigerate for a few minutes.

Easter Gift Ideas
These individual Reeses Easter Egg barks could be perfect to put into individual candy bags, tie with a cute ribbon or curling string, and give as gifts on Easter. They would also be the perfect little Easter basket accompaniment, wrapped in cling-wrap, so you can still see how adorable they are.

Change up the look and cut down on the triple peanut butter option by using pastel-colored M&M’s, or mini-M&M’s.
Don’t forget about your church youth groups, hairdresser, delivery folks, and veterinarian, to name a few.
