Delicious Eats at the Recovery Sports Grill, Charleston
Why We Went: A group of work friends (Kim, Hope, Camryn, and Rodney) got together for good eats and happy hour specials. We chose a place in downtown Charleston that had plenty of parking options. Recovery Sports Grill is located in the Four Points Sheraton Hotel on the riverfront in downtown Charleston, West Virginia. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice vibe.
What We Had: We started with Buffalo Chicken Wontons and Gorgonzola Truffle Fries. Dinner included Spicy Garlic Wings, Roasted Stuffed Jalapeños, hand-dipped Chicken Tenders, and a Gorgonzola Burger with fries.
Something Special: Recovery Sports Grill’s Buffalo Chicken Wonton appetizer is amazingly delicious! I ran into three people around town after dining there and when they learned I had been to Recovery Sports Grill, they all said, “You should try the Buffalo Wontons”. Done and agreed.
Noteworthy: The spicy chicken fingers and wings were all spot on. The dipping sauces paired nicely with the chicken fingers, which were zesty and flavorful. The wings also had plus plenty of meat on them. Color me impressed!
Best Part of the Meal: See “something special” because they were that good!
Bonus: Recovery Sports Grill has Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 PM and 50 cent wings on Mondays. I cannot see any reason why you should not visit them at once.
What Needs Improvement: While the food was exceptional, our service was pretty bad. The waitress started off strong, but shifts changed at 4 PM. Our new waitress was less than helpful. This is a real shame because the atmosphere at the Recovery Sports Grill is fun, the restaurant was clean, and the food noteworthy! I have heard complaints about the service from practically everyone who has dined at Recovery Sports Grill.
Total Check Before Tip: I was treated. (Thanks Hopie Bunny)
