The Lemon Tree is a popular restaurant on the beach front street of Vero Beach, Florida. Locals and tourists alike love their classic menu and seafood favorites. Breakfast is a very popular time of day and The Lemon Tree serves up delicious dishes with impeccable service. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere welcoming, so it is no wonder that The Lemon Tree is one of Vero’s top choices in dining. Here is my review after eating breakfast there.
Eat Where the Locals Eat
My friend, Lynne, and I often meet in Vero Beach for lunch. On this particular day, we were both craving a swanky comfort food kind of lunch and knew that the Lemon Tree would fit the bill. After tossing around many menu options, Lynne finally decided on the Lemon Tree Signature Chicken Potpie, bursting with roasted chicken, vegetables, and puff pastry crust. I opted for the Vegetable Quiche of the Day, my go-to dish that The Lemon Tree always does well.
My quiche was served with the side of my choice. I opted for the house salad rather than fresh fruit. The salad was satisfying and had a very tasty dressing on the side. Though the quiche price seems a bit hefty, the portion size definitely justified it. Lynne was thrilled with her Chicken Potpie, bursting with vegetables and flaky crust. Yum!
Friendly Staff = Happy Patrons
The lady sitting beside me ordered the special of the day, Lobster Salad. When it arrived, I assume she picked up on my drooling over her plate so she offered me a small portion of her dish. Since she insisted, I gladly obliged. Who am I to argue with a mouthful of lobster? The lobster meat was uber fresh, perfectly poached, and made me wish I had ordered that instead.
My only issue with The Lemon Tree is that they only offer Eggs Benedict and/or hollandaise on weekends, which is a reason I seldom eat there on weekdays. It would be nice if they made this a permanent option on their daily menu. **On my last visit, Lemon Tree now offers Eggs Benedict on weekdays
Everyone Loves Something Free
Each table is given a small basket with a homemade mini-muffin for each person in your party when the server brings the check at the end of the meal. The muffins were soft, warm, sugary, and my favorite part of the meal. Everybody likes something free and it is a nice complimentary item that is a special offering at The Lemon Tree.
Lemon Tree: A Delicious Dining Option
The Lemon Tree is one of the Vero local’s favorite go-to places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer fresh, quality ingredients and classic as well as current menu items. I have never had a bad meal at The Lemon Tree, plus it is right across the street from the beach. Parking is door-front and there are plenty of shops to browse in around after lunch.
My Rating Scale 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest)= 8
