The Living Room is a pet-friendly restaurant in the heart of Dunedin I had been dying to try for quite some time.
I finally had the opportunity to have lunch there and it was so delicious, I felt I must share.
Upscale Dining at Dunedin’s The Living Room
The Living Room is a cozy restaurant that is nicely decorated and with a welcoming energy.
A huge outdoor patio awaits you and your pet if you so choose to bring them. There is even a special pet menu with healthy entrees, such as Grilled Salmon and Rice for $7.
My friend, Vada, daughter, Peyton, and I were promptly greeted after being seating and our waitress informed us of the specials.
The Living Room’s menu is not huge, but it was still hard choosing our meal because everything sounds heavenly.
We selected the Chicken Salad Sandwich, the Burger of the Day, and the Half Soup, Half Sandwich Special as our lunch dishes.
The Chicken Salad Sandwich was paired with a really tasty Penne Pasta Salad. Peyton’s “special of the day” Burger came topped with avocado, BBQ sauce, grilled peppers, and pepper jack cheese. She immediately approved.
I loved my soup/sandwich combo which came with Lentil Soup (the soup-of-the-day) and the Mojo Pork Panini Sandwich. Yummy!
Vada’s Living Room Chicken Salad came out at least five inches tall. It looked pretty stacked on the toasted rye bread. The chicken salad was made with dried cherries, sliced apples, green and red grapes, and toasted almonds. How can you miss with this one?
Big Portions, Attractive Plates, and a Big Choice of Selections
My Mojo Pork half sandwich was big enough to be considered a full sandwich on its own. Slow roasted mojo pork shoulder, pickled red onions, avocado, and brie were on pressed Cuban bread. It made for a perfect choice.
When Peyton’s special burger arrived, we all felt like perhaps we made the wrong lunch choice and should have gone straight for the beef. It was served with hand-cut thick and delicious fries.
The Living Room’s lunch items are mostly between $10-$12. Next time, I will try the Quinoa Salad or the Chicken Montrachet Sandwich.
If you are in the Dunedin area, I recommend giving the Living Room a try.
Lunch hours are 11 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. Gluten-free options are available upon request.
Saturday and Sundays offer a brunch from 1o AM to 3 PM with discounted Mimosas.
