If you find yourself on vacation in Grand Cayman, spend a day at the Royal Palms Beach Club. Royal Palms is located in George Town on the beautiful Seven Mile Beach.
After visiting George Town many times, and experiencing all that the island has to offer, Royal Palms Beach Club is my favorite place to go when I am in the area.
What To Expect
Plan to arrive at the Royal Palms Beach Club early because it will be full by noon. If you are coming from the George Town cruise port, it is a $4 cab ride per person to get there. Royal Palms charges a $2 entry fee but the clean, spacious bathrooms alone are worth it.
There is a bar/outdoor restaurant when you first walk in, pool complete with a DJ booth, and plenty of space on the beach. All seating is available for rent and lasts all day.
Pricing: lounge chair at the beach $10 or with an umbrella $15, covered cabana at the pool $100 (4 chairs), or a lounge chair by the pool $50.
Lots To Offer
When you arrive at the Royal Palms Beach Club, simply pick the area that you want to sit in and get comfortable. Servers will come by once you are situated to collect money for your lounges and give you a menu from the restaurant. Prices of Royal Palms Beach Club’s food and beverages are pretty comparable to what you will find elsewhere on the island. If you choose to have lunch at the restaurant itself, there are tables and chairs on the patio.
The Beach Club offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property. If you sit by the pool, you can enjoy music all afternoon thanks to the DJ. Paddle boards, jet skis, and snorkel equipment for tours are available for rent. It is fun to see everyone enjoying the beach in different ways.
