Baja Beach Restaurant
This Biloxi, Mississippi restaurant fuses Tex-Mex and Seafood together in a cool way. You would not think that Seafood and Mexican food would pair well, but Baja Beach has mastered the combination. As if this was not appealing enough, Baja Beach’s ingredients are fresh and their prices are very affordable.
When my husband (Blake) and I visited Biloxi, we could not wait to try Baja Beach. We had a great experience and will definitely come back should our travels take us back to Mississippi’s Gulf Coast.
This two story restaurant sits right on Biloxi’s waterfront. Do not let those stairs intimidate you; there is an elevator, too. When you enter the restaurant, the first thing you will notice is that Baja Beach is extremely well decorated. From the colors of the walls, to the light fixtures and ceiling tiles, it screams Tex-Mex at the beach. Even the menus play into the restaurant’s creative theme.
Baja Beach has a large bar area, set up in an organized manner. The restaurant serves an impressive selection of bar drinks, including signature margaritas, 30+ types of tequila, beer, wine, and cocktails.
Starting Our Meal Off Right
Almost as soon as we sat down, our friendly waitress brought us some chips and salsa. Blake and I snacked on them while we perused the menu. When I saw the description of the Baja Queso Dip, I knew that we had to order it, too: crabmeat and Gulf Shrimp in queso blanco. Better yet, there were chunks of crabmeat and whole Gulf Shrimp in the dip. It was phenomenal! Blake and I raced to out eat one another because we did not want to share it with each other. What a great way to start out our meal at Baja Beach.
The Stacked Enchiladas initially peaked my interest in Baja Beach. Instead of rolling the tortillas, the restaurant stacks them and bakes it casserole style. I could not wait to try them! I chose the Chicken Stacked Enchiladas with Queso Blanco on top. Oh my goodness, they were delicious! The enchiladas came loaded with chicken and served with rice and beans (choice of pinto or refried). I am not a big corn tortilla fan, but Baja Beach’s were wonderful; you could taste how fresh they were.
Blake ordered a Fajita Bowl off of the lunch menu. He opted for ground beef and loved the blend of ingredients in the lightly fried flour tortilla bowl. And I quote, “it was a fiesta in my mouth.”
Outdoor Dining With Views Of The Gulf
I have not even mentioned the best part: Baja Beach has a large outdoor patio overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The views from here are awesome and this is a great photo spot. I wish that we would have visited at night to see it all lit up. You cannot get anymore waterfront than this!
Hosting an event in the Biloxi area? Baja Beach has a private dining area available.
Eat At Baja Beach
If you like Mexican and Seafood, you will love the two paired together here. I cannot tell you how great our food at Baja Beach was. Whether you come to Baja Beach for lunch or dinner, you are sure to be impressed with their incredible dishes, friendly staff, and great service.
Baja Beach says it best: “Fresh ingredients served with a smile. Stop in and enjoy some of the best mexican food on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!”
