Sheraton Bay Point Resort: Panama City Beach
The Sheraton Bay Point Resort is a AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel in Panama City Beach, Florida. With three pools, 36-holes of championship golf, views of St. Andrews Bay, four full-service on-site restaurants, a private beach, and fantastic full-service salon and spa, this is the ultimate luxury vacation retreat.
My husband (Blake) and I stayed at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort during Panama City Beach’s 2018 Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam and absolutely loved it. There was so much to do that we could have spent our entire vacation just hanging out at the resort. Check out what all the Sheraton Bay Point Resort has to offer and what we thought about the property!
Note: Although the Sheraton Bay Point Resort recently underwent a $30 million renovation, Hurricane Michael did major damage to the Resort in October 2018, resulting in even more renovations.
The Sheraton Bay Point Resort
You will feel “on vacation” from the moment you step into the Sheraton Bay Point Resort’s lobby. The decor is fantastic–the blue paint, modern furnishings, and trees give off a Florida beach vibe. It’s one of the most Instagrammable hotel lobbies I have seen.
Enjoy sipping on a flavored water while you wait to check in with a friendly staff member. After putting your belongings down in your room, walk around the Resort taking in all that it has to offer. It is even more spectacular in person!
You will fall in love with the Sheraton Bay Point Resort’s guest rooms. They are spacious, have plush bedding, super comfortable beds, and adorable decorations. The bright colors and modern designs make you feel like you are at the beach from the comfort of your room. It is definitely a happy space!
I loved the light up mirror in the bathroom, chaise lounge, and all of the artwork hanging on the walls while my husband liked sitting outside on the balcony looking at the Bay.
Choose from a pool or resort view room. You can even request one directly outside of the pool–perfect for families.
Looking for a little bit more space? Consider renting a Suite or Villa.
The Sheraton Bay Point Resort has four full-service restaurants on site (Bar 72 Pub and Eatery, Tides, Pelican’s Bar and Grill, and Flip Flops Pool Bar) plus two market options (MarketPlace and Cabana Cafe).
Bar 72 Pub and Eatery
Enjoy views of the impressive golf course while eating breakfast or lunch at the Bar 72 Pub and Eatery.
During our visit, we ordered Jumbo Wings, Grilled Mahi Tacos (Caribbean slaw, black bean, roasted corn), and Mac-n-Cheese Triple Stack Grilled Cheese (sourdough bread, paper jack, monterey aged cheddar). All of our food was great and the service was even better. I cannot recommend Bar 72 Pub and Eatery enough!
Tides Restaurant and Lounge
The Sheraton Bay Point Resort’s signature restaurant is Tides, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The decor is beautiful and looks upscale, yet the vibe of the restaurant is very laid back.
One morning, Blake and I opted to eat breakfast at Tides. I love a good breakfast buffet and Tides’ did not disappoint. All of the food was spread out over several rooms so you were not in one big line and the food was displayed very nicely.
We arrived around 9:45 AM and the restaurant was packed. I would recommend getting there earlier in the morning.
Flip Flops Pool Bar
Enjoy your meal poolside at this laid back restaurant serving American food. It’s perfect for eating and looking at the beautiful Bay–or watching your kids swim.
Pelican’s Bar and Grill
Pelican’s is an open-air bar at the end of the Grand Lagoon Boardwalk. With live music, it’s a great place to end your day in Panama City Beach.
From the looks of it, Pelican’s seems to be a guest favorite. The restaurant was full no matter the time of day.
Looking for a quick bite? Stop by the MarketPlace for snacks and drinks or Cabana Cafe for grab-and-go food (pastries, salads, sandwiches, soup, wraps) and Starbucks Coffee.
The list of things to do at Panama City Beach’s Sheraton Bay Point Resort is endless. Enjoy playing tennis and volleyball, boating, sailing, relaxing on the Grand Lagoon Boardwalk, riding bikes or jogging on a designated trail, a game of corn hole, spending time in the game room or 24/7 fitness center, or curling up on an outdoor sofa reading a book. There are also activities just for children.
Let your pet join in on the fun too, as the Sheraton Bay Point Resort is pet friendly.
Looking for a vacation destination wedding venue or spot to hold a meeting? The Sheraton Bay Point Resort has 60,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Sheraton Bay Point Resort has a really cool offering–private Bay Beach access. Relax with your feet in the sand as you take in the gorgeous scenery. Kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and jet skis can all be rented here, as well.
Not enough beach action for you? Take a shuttle to Shell Island and enjoy having a whole island almost entirely to yourself.
There are two golf courses on the property. Meadows Course is 18 holes, 6000 yards, and designed by Willard Byrd Design. The Nicklaus Course is 18 holes, 7000 yards, and designed by Nicklaus Design Team–making it the only Nicklaus Design Course in Northwest Florida.
In addition to the golf courses, there is also a clubhouse, driving range, and Dewsweeper’s Golf School.
The Sheraton Bay Point Resort has three outdoor pools. The Azalea and Palms pools are outside of the main hotel while the Villa pool is, you guessed it, outside of the Resort’s Villas. Both the Azalea and Villa pools are heated and you truly can’t beat the view.
Treat yourself at the Serenity Spa during your stay–after all, you are on vacation! The Spa offers manicures, pedicures, massages, body wraps, waxing, and hand, hair, scalp, and eye treatments. You can even take fitness classes here.
I indulged in a Spa day and had a massage. It was fantastic! I arrived to my appointment early so that I could enjoy the relaxation room and whirlpool spa. I was given a locker to hold my belongings during my treatment and a flavored water.
My massage therapist was great and I loved learning about Panama City Beach from a local. I definitely recommend indulging in a spa treatment here. When you’re finished, spend your day relaxing by the pool only available to Serenity Spa guests.

Even if you choose not to stay at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort, you can still enjoy majority of what it has to offer. Come eat dinner at one of the restaurants, walk around the property and admire the incredible landscape, and end your evening with a drink at Pelican’s Bar and Grill.
