FYI: About an hour northeast of Las Vegas, Mesquite sits on the Arizona border with three exits on Interstate 15.

CasaBlanca Amenities

CasaBlanca Resort boasts a full range of amenities to meet every need and desire. For starters, the resort features a state-of-the-art casino with over 800 slot machines, video poker, and table games such as craps, blackjack, and roulette.

Speaking as an established progressive slots player, the slots are looser than in Vegas, which makes it even more attractive. Watch the event calendar for upcoming live music acts at Skydome.

If you’re not a seasoned gambler, don’t worry – this casino is relaxed and casual, perfect for beginners. A lovely gift shop is beside the check-in desk, stocked with gifts, sundries, clothing, and toys.

Cups and Scoops serve fantastic milkshakes, ice cream cones, and other treats across the hall. They are open 24 hours a day.

And speaking of the pool, CasaBlanca’s outdoor pool looks like it should be sitting in Beverly Hills! The water fountain and palm trees add a sophisticated vibe to the family-friendly setting. There are plenty of loungers for sunbathing, while off to the side, tucked in a somewhat hidden area, is a year-round hot tub.

In Mesquite, you’re surrounded by a 360-degree view of majestic mountains, adding another layer to the beautiful setting. To upgrade your pool experience, consider renting a private poolside cabana with a TV, refrigerator, lounge chairs, and a safe.

Grab drinks from the Splash Bar for your adult libation needs.

CasaBlanca Restaurants

Katherine’s Steakhouse

One of the most popular restaurants is Katherine’s Steakhouse, which serves USDA Dry Aged Prime Beef steaks, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine list. This high-end restaurant is busy every night of the week, so reservations via Open Table are suggested.

My husband and I like to sit at the bar, which is often easier to get a seat at on the spur of the moment. I love their Shrimp or Oysters Rockefeller, but sometimes we settle for a classic Caesar salad and a bowl of French onion soup.

Other delicious dishes include steaks, wild-caught Dover sole (fresh from Holland), chops, bananas foster, and cherries jubilee desserts (both prepared table-side). Or, treat yourself to the Grand Mariner soufflé.

Mesa Buffet

Friday through Sunday, treat yourself to the wonderful Mesa Buffet. Friday night rolls out the seafood dinner with an array of goodies like oysters, shrimp, and, at times, stone crab slaw. Saturday nights are New York steak and crab legs, with steaks prepared to order before your very eyes.

Saturday and Sunday mornings at CasaBlanca are reserved for Mimosa Breakfasts for $12.99 per person, with an all-you-can-eat buffet fit for a king. My favorites are the cheesy hash browns and Eggs Benedict, but you can also get eggs cooked to order and nearly everything you can think of.

Casa Cafe

Casa Cafe is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also boast a vast, separate traditional Chinese menu with daily specials.

A popular breakfast item, and one you might see mentioned on billboards leading into Mesquite, is the Deuces Special. This under $10 breakfast plate has 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 buttermilk pancakes; no substitutions are allowed.

My hubby and I like to share a club sandwich with fries — it is perfectly delicious and enough to share. Casa Cafe has the best burgers in town and a variety of basket meals, like fried shrimp, chicken fingers, or ground beef tacos.

The menu isn’t limited to just these items; there are comfort food dishes like pot roast, chicken fried chicken, and St. Louis pork ribs, but there are also steaks and salads for heartier or lighter appetites.

Golf Courses

Mesquite is a golf lover’s dream destination, and CasaBlanca has two courses you won’t want to miss: CasaBlanca and Palms Golf Clubs. CasaBlanca Golf Club features 18 championship holes in a spectacular Cal Olsen-designed setting that follows the Virgin River basin. Other points of interest are the full-service practice range and putting green.

Palms Golf Club straddles the Arizona-Nevada state line with fabulous palm-lined fairways and water features. Per the website, “The Palms Golf Club is almost two courses in one, with the first nine playing with open fairways and surrounding water that then transitions to the back nine rising up to panoramic elevated tees and greens.”

Spa

CasaBlanca’s spa is really gratifying. Choose from a menu of alluring services like massage (Swedish, hot stone, and deep tissue, to name a few), wraps, body scrubs, and facials for both men and women.

I had a great massage there, but I do not recommend the pedicure and manicure, as they were not up to par. There is also a hair styling salon.

Allow extra time for your spa experience so you can enjoy the relaxation room, steam room, and the ultimate outdoor soaking pools.

Special Events

CasaBlanca Resort hosts various special events throughout the year, ranging from live music and comedy shows to seasonal events such as the Mesquite Balloon Festival or the week-long Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival in January!

It’s always worth checking out their website or Facebook page for an up-to-date list.

Campground

CasaBlanca Resort also features a fantastic RV park with full hookups and onsite laundry facilities, showers, and restrooms. There are 16 pull-thru sites and 29 back-ins. Guests also receive access to the CasaBlanca Resort Lagoon Pool and tennis courts.

With picturesque views of the surrounding area and a variety of amenities, the RV park is the perfect place to rest and refuel before heading off again! It also offers 24-hour security. Rates start at $35, which is super cheap for this part of the country.

CasaBlanca Resort offers an excellent rewards program, with each dollar you spend earning points that can be exchanged for free play, free meals, free hotel stays and more. Plus, as you rank up the tiers, exclusive VIP Events and discounts become available.

Don’t miss their sister property, Virgin River Casino, which is about 6 minutes away on the other end of town.
