The Best Character Photo Ops At Disney World
While some people come to Walt Disney World for the thrills of riding the three mountains (Space, Splash, and Big Thunder) and iconic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, others come to meet their favorite Disney characters. When a character walks into the park, excitement ensues for both children and adults. Although there are around one hundred characters meets in total, here are the best character photo ops at Disney World.
Red Carpet Dreams
Let’s start out with my favorite on our list of best character photo ops at Disney World. You can see Sorcerer Mickey and Silver Screen Minnie at Hollywood Studios. The spot is almost hidden; look for the “Red Carpet Dreams” poster. The props are adorable! Plus, who doesn’t love Sorcerer Mickey?

Frozen fans must visit the Royal Sommerhus in Norway. This is the only place at Walt Disney World where you can take a picture with Anna and Elsa, Disney’s most famous sisters.
Location: Epcot, World Showcase: Norway
Ariel has her very own set up at Magic Kingdom. Head into her beautiful grotto and say hello to the Disney princess from The Little Mermaid.

Epcot Character Spot
One of the best character photo ops at Disney World is in Epcot’s Future World. Come see Minnie and Goofy in their classic outfits and Mickey Mouse sporting a gold bowtie.

Your visit to Hollywood Studios isn’t complete without saying hello to Buzz Lightyear and Woody. These Toy Story characters have a room to themselves across from the popular Toy Story Mania game. Although Buzz and Woody are huge, their surroundings make all of you look toy-sized!
Location: Holywood Studios
Brave‘s Merida has one of the coolest character photo ops at Disney World. She has an entire area dedicated to her “play and greet experience”. While waiting in line, your kids can practice their archery skills, color their own tapestry, and check out her Scottish Highland decor.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Board Animal Kingdom’s Wildlife Express Train and visit Rafiki’s Planet Watch, an area focusing on animal conservation. While learning about the inner workings of the park, have your picture made with Rafiki himself. This is my husband’s favorite photo op at Disney World.
Location: Animal Kingdom, Train is in Africa
Hollywood Studios is home to everyone’s favorite Disney snowman, Olaf! His room is beside the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration and he has the cutest summertime setup.
Location: Hollywood Studios, Echo Lake
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
This is another one of my favorites on our list of best character photo ops at Disney World. Come see The Astounding Donaldo, Great Goofini, Minnie Magnifique, and Madame Daisy Fortuna. All four outfits are adorable and the space is large enough that you’re not on top of everyone else in line.
Note: There are two lines inside of the building; one for Donald and Goofy, one for Daisy and Minnie.
Location: Magic Kingdom
At Animal Kingdom’s Adventurers Outpost, you can take a picture Mickey and Minnie in their globetrotting outfits. Be sure to look at the pictures hanging on the walls to see where all Mickey and Minnie have traveled!

Star Wars fans, Hollywood Studios is for you! Head to Star Wars Launch Bay to meet BB-8, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren. You can also check out models, costumes, and props from the movies, including lightsabers.
