When I first learned that I was pregnant, a friend asked me what baby registry we were going to use. I hadn’t thought about much–especially picking out a baby registry! When I started looking into it, I was overwhelmed by how many stores offer registries. I began looking into the perks and free baby registry gifts that came with each until I found what worked for us.
My husband and I liked four baby registries for different reasons: Amazon (affordable book prices), Buy Buy Baby (cute bibs and accessories), Target (practical things), and Babylist (convenience).
We ended up creating one baby registry on Babylist comprised of items from Amazon, Buy Buy Baby, and Target. It didn’t hurt that they came with great free baby registry gifts, too.
Whether you are looking to try out products before using them or score great coupons for baby gear, here are the best free baby registry gifts that I have found!
Amazon: Free Baby Registry Gift Welcome Box
The Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box is available to select Amazon Prime customers who create an Amazon Baby Registry and have over $10 in purchases from their registry. Once you are eligible, you will see a “Claim Now” button on the left side of your Amazon Baby Registry.
All Amazon Welcome Boxes are different. Here’s what was in mine:

Babylist: Hello Baby Box
The Hello Baby Box is free when you complete your Babylist registry set up. If you aren’t familiar with Babylist, it compiles items from any store, and meaningful gifts like home-cooked meals, into one registry.
Once you become eligible for the Hello Baby Box, you will be asked to confirm your shipping address and pay a $4.95 shipping fee.
Each month’s Hello Baby Box is different. Mine contained Mam Anti-Colic bottle, Noodle & Boo Newborn 2-in-1 Hair & Body Wash sample, Boob Ease Organic Nipple Balm, Philips Avent pacifier, baby list registration cards, Dreft Laundry Detergent sample and $2 coupon, and other miscellaneous coupons.
Two of my favorites were the Burt’s Bees Washcloth and $10 coupon, and the Pampers Pouch with 1 diaper, 6 wipes, and $2.50 coupon.
Buy Buy Baby: Goodie Bag
When you create a Buy Buy Baby Registry online or in-store, you will receive a free Goodie Bag as a thank you. The Goodie Bag is full of product samples and coupons.
All Buy Buy Baby Goodie Bags are different, but mine had Boogie Wipes sample, Chicco NaturalFit pacifier, 4 Baby Bum samples, pack of Lansinoh samples, $25 Shutterfly gift card, 2 Noodle & Boo Newborn 2-in-1 Hair & Body Wash samples, and a slew of coupons. The best were the $5 off a Poppy and $5 off Kinda smart thermometer.
Target: Welcome Kit
Receive a Target Welcome Kit when you create a Target Baby Registry in-stores or online. Simply head to Guest Services to pick up your Welcome Kit.
Note: My Target was out of Welcome Kits for one month–I had to keep checking, but it was worth it.
The Welcome Kits are all different, but mine had Dr. Brown’s Options bottle, Honest diaper & wipe sample, Dove Baby sample, Aveeno Baby sample, Philips Avent bottle, NUK pacifier, and a coupon for a free pack of (8) 2 oz. Similac Newborn bottles.
There were also really GOOD coupons for you and baby (including diapers, wipes, bottles, laundry detergent, maternity clothes, cleaning supplies–anything you can think of) totaling over $100!
Best Free Baby Registry Gifts
These are the best free baby registry gifts that I have seen so far. I liked all of these boxes for different reasons, but the Amazon Welcome Box was my favorite as far as products go. I loved all of the coupons in the Target Welcome Kit.
These free baby registry gifts are a nice plus for creating a baby registry and I hope you find the one that works best for you.
Note: If you receive items in your free baby registry gifts that you do not plan to use, donate them to someone in need or give them to a pregnant friend. Please do not let these coupons and product samples go to waste.
