9 Cool Things For Millennials In Biloxi

Once known as the “Seafood Capital of the World”, Biloxi, Mississippi, offers both revival and relaxation in equal measures. Millennials will enjoy Biloxi’s varied activity offerings, laid-back feel, and food scene. Here are nine cool things millennials in Biloxi can do to get started on their Coastal Mississippi vacation.

Eat A Slew Of Coastal MS Seafood

Biloxi has really good food. Like, really good food! And since Biloxi is on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, fresh seafood is abundant. From catfish to crab dip, charbroiled oysters to shrimp and grits, you can find whatever seafood you want here.

There are more than 100 restaurants in Biloxi, but our favorites are Sal & Mookie’s, Half Shell Oyster House, The Reef, Shaggy’s, and Patio 44.

Tip: Here are more great restaurants in the Coastal MS area.

Visit The Beach

You can’t come to Biloxi and not visit the beach. I mean you could, but what fun would that be? There are numerous beach access points along Beach Boulevard, but our favorite is directly across from the Biloxi Lighthouse.

Are you interested in adding a little adventure to your day? Rent a jet ski or catch a boat to a nearby barrier island, like Ship Island. Fishing is also popular on Biloxi’s beaches, as 200 species of fish can be found there.

Admire Beautiful Art

Art is abundant in Biloxi–from large-scale murals in the middle of downtown to beach-front sculptures. While visiting Biloxi, take in the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, see the Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise statue across from the lighthouse, or check out some gorgeous murals around town.

Attend An Event At The Mississippi Coast Coliseum

Located in the heart of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center is the largest beachfront facility of its kind in the South.

This Coastal landmark plays host to Broadway theater, comedians, professional sports, rodeos, festivals, circuses, and world-class live music performances. Millennials in Biloxi should absolutely see a show here.

Spend Some Time In A Casino

Biloxi is home to eight casino resorts, each offering its own unique set of amenities, including dining, shopping, spas, and incredible headliner entertainment.

Head to the luxurious Beau Rivage for premier entertainment, Hard Rock for a lively atmosphere all hours of the day, or the Palace Casino Resort for a smoke-free environment, just to name a few of Biloxi’s gaming options.

Visit A Museum

Another thing Biloxi has a lot of–museums!

Learn about the Coastal Mississippi region at the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum (Biloxi Fire Museum), history at Beauvoir The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library, or Mardi Gras at the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum.

Check Out Coastal Mississippi’s Coffee Trail

Coastal Mississippi has its own Coffee Trail, and two stops are in Biloxi.

Pair your coffee, latte, or tea with a tasty breakfast sandwich at Greenhouse Biloxi. Indulge in creative concoctions like Cotton Candy Coffee, a Wonderland iceChino, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Coffee MilkShake at Jacked Up Coffee Bar.

This is one of my favorite activities for millennials in Biloxi!

Catch A Biloxi Shuckers Game

The Biloxi Shuckers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Southern League and the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. While visiting, Millennials in Biloxi should catch a Biloxi Shuckers game at MGM Park. They are a lot of fun and have promotions for all, if not most, home games.

Explore Neighboring Cities

Known as “The Secret Coast”, Coastal Mississippi has 62 miles of shoreline dotted by unique coastal communities. Biloxi is only one of these towns on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. Here are some things to do in neighboring towns.
