Why I Recommend This All-Inclusive Resort in Jamaica: Princess Grand Jamaica & Princess Senses The Mangrove

If you’re considering a family or adults-only all-inclusive in Jamaica, here’s my Princess Grand Jamaica review after staying at the newly reopened dual-resort property in Green Island after Hurricane Melissa’s destructive path. I experienced the swim-out accommodations, Platinum Club perks, spa, restaurants, pools, and neighboring Princess Senses The Mangrove—and there was a lot I would return for.

These two neighboring resorts share a gorgeous stretch of Caribbean coastline along with a huge collection of restaurants, pools, bars, and amenities. Princess Grand Jamaica is the family-friendly side, while Princess Senses The Mangrove is adults-only.

And for someone who usually tries to cram as much as humanly possible into every trip, I did something pretty unusual here: I relaxed.

Note: Until this stay, I’d only enjoyed one other all-inclusive property in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

My Swim-Out Suite at Princess Grand Jamaica

My Deluxe Junior Swim-Out Suite was a big part of that.

The contemporary room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with two queen beds, a sitting area, a double rain shower, freestanding soaking tub, stocked minibar, coffee maker, and a covered terrace.

But let’s be serious. The star was outside.

My semi-private pool was literally about four steps from my sliding glass door. I spent a ridiculous amount of my vacation floating between pools, and I have zero regrets about that decision.

The resort also has 14 ultra-luxury overwater villas with private infinity pools and direct access to the Caribbean. If you’re looking for the big splurge, those are certainly it.

The Platinum Club Upgrade

If your budget allows, I’d strongly consider upgrading to the Platinum Club Experience.

The biggest perks for me were the more exclusive spaces, including a private pool with its own premium bar, and personal butler service. Having someone available to help coordinate reservations and other details took another layer of planning off my plate—which is exactly what I want from an all-inclusive vacation.

Platinum guests also receive added spa benefits, including complimentary hydrotherapy access for one person per suite per week and a discount on spa treatments and products.

Don’t Skip the Spa

I’ve been fortunate enough to visit a lot of spas over the years, and the spa here was one of my favorite parts of the property.

I loved working my way through the hydrotherapy area, alternating between the warm and cool pools, steam rooms, and relaxation spaces. Then came my massage, which was exactly what I needed after months of travel.

My advice? If you’re already spending the money to vacation in Jamaica, book the spa treatment.

The Food Was a Major Highlight

This is also where the all-inclusive concept really won me over.

Between Princess Grand Jamaica and Princess Senses The Mangrove, we had an impressive selection of places to eat without ever leaving the resort. Choices included Jamaican, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Asian, sushi, seafood, an international buffet, food market, sports bar, food truck, and more.

Restaurants and dining at Princess Grand Jamaica, including outdoor seating, an upscale dining room, and beautifully presented dishes.

The unofficial Restaurant Row became one of my favorite parts of the resort. Between meals, there were comfortable places to sit, grab a cocktail, enjoy the ocean breeze, and decide where we were eating next.

And my favorite meal? Robert’s Flame.

My steak was cooked perfectly and ended up being my favorite entrée of the entire trip. With this many restaurants available, I never felt like I was eating the same old resort food day after day—and that matters to me.

Yes, I Tried the Floating Breakfast

I finally checked a floating breakfast off my travel list, and WOW, was this one photogenic.

Breakfast arrived right in our swim-out pool with fruit, pastries, eggs, coffee, juice, and more. I’ve experienced plenty of Instagram-worthy travel moments over the years, but this was easily one of the most picture-perfect.

Fortunately, it wasn’t just pretty. The food was good, too.

Princess Grand Jamaica for Families

Families have plenty waiting for them around the Jamaican property. Three pools, an aquatic park, supervised Kids Club, VR and gaming areas for older kids, family-friendly dining, and spacious suites make it possible for parents to enjoy a nicer resort experience without sacrificing everything the kids want.

I especially liked that the family side still felt polished and upscale. This isn’t a resort where “family-friendly” translates to giving up the luxury part of your vacation.

Why I’d Choose an All-Inclusive Resort in Jamaica Again

An all-inclusive makes Jamaica incredibly easy. Once I arrived, I could stop thinking about where to eat, how much dinner would cost, where to go for a drink, or what I needed to plan for the next day.

Everything I wanted was right there.

For me, the highlights were simple: sipping coffee on my swim-out terrace, floating in the pools, indulging in a relaxing spa treatment, enjoying an unforgettable floating breakfast, eating some fantastic meals, and ending each day looking out at the Caribbean Sea.

Sometimes the best vacation isn’t about checking attractions off a list.

Sometimes it’s about finally giving yourself permission to unwind.

And at Princess Grand Jamaica and Princess Senses The Mangrove, I certainly did.
